I have a strange problem. I have a newly installed RH 5 system in which I am running Metro-X with fvwm2. I have used this same configuration on this machine several times before with no problems. (I just like tio reinstall things alot). This time xlock does not work. I execute xock and nothing. I check the processes and it shows xlock running. I can execute xlock three or four more times and it will list all processes. This is a cherry install, I have applied no updates or anything else (as before). In fact, I maintain most of my config files on floppy so when I reinstall, I can go back to my previous setup. I have done this probably 20 times over the last year and have had no problems with it. I also notice, that netscape (4.04) takes about 15 seconds to load where as before it came up instantly. The machine is a dual pentium 200 mmx with 128 megs of ram with all scsi devices and a 2940uw. Matrox Mill-2 video board. I have recompiled the kernel with the same options I always have in the past.
