Thanks for the help, BUT.
This is great but i am unable to gain access to the remote server.
I am sure this will fix my problem if i can get past security.
I have a book! "using Linux" by QUE. The book says to add you hostname to
the remote system file /etc/hosts.equiv
I have done this and the result is negative. rsh command fails with permission
denied. Am i stupid or is the person who wrote the book ?
One system is Red Hat the other is Slackware,
The man talks about the .klogin file. The man file is a load of crap unless you
know how to use the command in the first place.
I have tried hostname and if in the .klogin file with no success.
any help appreciated
