Hi, Look at the Bell Systems Technical Journal (later replaced by AT&T Journal) issues of October, 1984 and July-August, 1978. These are special issues on Unix and have articles written by "original" developers. Also, the ACM Turing award was given to Thomson and Ritchie in 1983 for Unix.
