How can I make Linux recognize the Cyrix chip as a i586 and not as a i486.
I know that Cyrix CPU's don't respond to the CPUID instruction if you don't
modify something in the registers.
Question: where (in the kernel I think) or what should I do to make Linux
see the corect CPU type?

Thanks!
