yeah, it's a bug that crops up in a weird combination of circumstances that
no-one has really been able to track down and duplicate reliably. You didn't
say if you're running 4.x or 5.0. If the former, you could try installing a
more recent version. This has worked in the past. In the meantime the w
command will probably get you through the night.
