If your objective is to just get netscape going go to the redhat ftp
site (or  preferably a mirror close to you) and get the navigator or
communicator rpm.  then do:
        rpm -i package-file-name
Check the hurricane contrib or updates directory for the package.

If you really want to use the file you have you will have to provide
more details--the file name, the error message  you got, etc

do a:  file  file-name  
to see what kind of a file it is according to its internal secret code
(magic number).
