I'm trying to boot to single-user mode to reset the root password. I
entered "e" on boot up to edit the kernel line in Grub and added "single' to the
end of it, then "b" to boot into single user mode. However, instead of going to
single user mode the system says:
Enter root password to do maintenance or Control-D to continue
So, since I don't know the root password (which is a whole other
story)
I enter Control-D and it boots normally to multi-user mode. Is there
some
way around this or another way to reset the root password?????
