I'm having an interesting problem... I want to install the RH9 tpctl and thinkpad-module RPMs from Fedora. I've installed the yum package from Fedora as well as their GPG key. Everything should be okay yet I get an error that it's "unable to find the GPG Key necessary to validate package." I've double-checked and it appears as though all should be okay. What am I missing here? I haven't seen anything on the fedora site that indicates anything special that I need to do and didn't find anything in groups.google.com.
TIA, Barry [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# rpm -qa | grep yum yum-2.0.1-0.fdr.2.rh90 [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# yum install tpctl Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) Server: Fedora Linux / stable for Red Hat Linux 9 (i386) Server: Macromedia Flash Player for Red Hat Linux 9 Server: Red Hat Linux 9 (i386) Server: Red Hat Linux 9 (i386) updates Finding updated packages Downloading needed headers Resolving dependencies .Dependencies resolved I will do the following: [install: tpctl 4.6-0.fdr.2.rh90.i386] I will install/upgrade these to satisfy the dependencies: [deps: kernel-module-thinkpad-2.4.20-9 4.3-0.fdr.4.i686] Is this ok [y/N]: y warning: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 8df56d05 Error: Could not find the GPG Key necessary to validate pkg /var/cache/yum/fedora-stable/packages/tpctl-4.6-0.fdr.2.rh90.i386.rpm Error: You may want to run yum clean or remove the file: /var/cache/yum/fedora-stable/packages/tpctl-4.6-0.fdr.2.rh90.i386.rpm Error: You may also check that you have the correct GPG keys installed [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# gpg --list-keys /root/.gnupg/pubring.gpg ------------------------ pub 1024D/8DF56D05 2003-03-27 Fedora Linux (RPMS) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> sub 2048g/6E208B8B 2003-03-27 pub 1024D/DB42A60E 1999-09-23 Red Hat, Inc <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> sub 2048g/961630A2 1999-09-23 -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
