I've used Adaptec controllers with HP SureStore DAT40e and DAT40i with
no trouble. This is a DDS-4 DAT tape drive. For software I've used plain
old tar and BRU. I've recently been using Seagate Scorpion 40 DDS-4 with
no problems as well...
