Hello, What *I think* you are looking for is a proxy server. I don't think that OpenLDAP has this facility but the Sun ONE crowd has a facility such as this that would allow you to see a couple of servers like that, this would be the Directory Proxy server software on their site.
Maybe this is overkill ??? There must be a simpler solution out there ! Cheers, Aly.
