I've been looking all over the place and the only one that seems to apply is
postscript::file for perl. However, the documentation is sparse for
examples of how to get images inserted, change character size per word or
character and so on. I could create the background page in another app and
then use perl to insert just the text but it doesn't reference the ability
to take an existing ps document and inserting on top of it. Is there a
solution here that I'm just not seeing or should I be looking in other
places? I've scanned things like TeX and lout and lout looks like I could
get my result, it just seems like a lot more work installing and learning
how to get around on that app to get the result I want. This is to automate
sending/printing several different formatted fax documents via scripting. I
set up a sample using write() in perl but there is no font modification or
background image support etc. Or at least not that I could find. If anyone
has used postscript::file to do what I'm looking for, if you could give a
small example that places text of varying sizes and an image inserted
(png/gif/jpeg whatever), I could do everything off that example. I just
can't find such a thing out there that gives such an example. Sorry for the
"book" sized post. :-o
