when i first installed 1.4 it crashed due to gconfd-1 still running, tho of course the reason was not immediately apparent. there are many other crashes reported at bugzilla.ximian.com too. as long as i start evolution before galeon, gconfd-2 is launched and it is ok for me under kde. > 2.
