Personally speaking, I think PnP in linux is just as good as M$. Matter of fact, to give an example, I recently was given a Toshiba laptop to use at work, it had 98 on it, but I at least needed a real OS. I began by trying to install XP Pro. I managed to get the OS installed, but after the reboot, my sound card didn't work, and believe it or not, the DVD-ROM drive wasn't seen by XP. Toshiba says that a clean new install of XP will work, but I never got it to. I ended up installing 2K on here as well as RH 9. RH 9 installed correct drivers for everything. DVD drive included. Just my experience, mind you, but if it can install clean on a laptop, I figure it will install anywhere. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> iQA/AwUBPw2YLuE7VA/jZY4+EQLkAACfSMh0wMQYGUMMQ+EOmv8bGCP0qZoAoK77 yxwRZejLrAypKQoTPZ7hXGA2 =bXWT -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
