I have no experience with RH(, but I was under the impression that switchdesk can only deal with the window managers provided by Red Hat (or packaged in a way to provide the necessary information)? As RH unfortunately has dropped Window Maker, I don't expect switchdesk to be able to deal with it. Your best bet - I think - will be to "switch" to fvwm o twm and then create your own $HOME/.xinitrc using the "wmaker.inst" script that is included with Window Maker.
