        I used libc-5.4.44 from sunsite.unc.edu.  It's in
        the /pub/Linux/GCC directory.  I forget exactly
        where.  Just get the shared lib binary and
        change the symbolic link from libc.so.5 to
        the old one to point to the new one.  I left the
        old library right where it is in case I needed it.
