Make your changes and save it (ctrl-s) and exit (ctrl-c). Then you cna
mount the drive.

You can also choose to edit from the FS tool in X but, I hate that as it
keeps complaining about drives I don't currently have connected (like
dos when I have an EXT2 disk in or EXT2 when a dos disk is in).
