Typing 'free' (no quotes) will show how much space you started with, how
much used, how much left on all mounted volumes including swap.

If you have a filemanager (xfm will work if you choose for it to show
hidden files) you'll find names like '.fvwmrc' and '.Xdefaults' and
'.Xclients' listed in your $HOME or /root directory. Thosr are the ones
you need to modify.

You'll also find others, like '.bashrc' that tells the shell how to work
(great for setting up aliases and other things) plus the default
settings of other programs you may use like '.netscape' which is a
directory of the netscape settings and storage.
