I have RH7.3 installed from downloaded ISO images.
The system is basically web server with PHP and MySQL.
Right after the installation the system works fine.
After several days of usage after reboot the system hangs during bringing up
eth0 interface.
I can get in using the interactive mode and skipping all deamons, but I can
not start the network.
( Starting network either manually or during interactive mode hangs on
bringing up loopback interface).
I did some research on the web but can not find anything how to correct this
problem.
>From what I can tell all configuration files look OK, but since I am rather
newbee on the Linux and don't know exactly how the boot process starts the
network and what is being done and checked during this process it is hard to
debug the problem.

I need to find out what has caused the problem ( is it possible this is a
result of some hacking?) and if it is possible to fix it without going thru
the whole system rebuild.

Can anyone describe what happens during the network start? I have tried to
follow the network script but this is too complicated for me. (there are
some steps I can not figure out)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

PS. I had the same thing happened on two totally different hardware systems
so I have ruled out hardware failure ( + the system works fine for a while
after rebuild).
