Hello,

I am having a problem with a redhat 7.3 linux machine. Kernel
version is kernel-smp-2.4.18-24.7.x. We run a third party financial
application on the server. For some reason the server has been locking
up with no response from the console. We've tried to diagnose the
problem--from upgrading the kernel to switching between MPS modes.
However, as of late I've seen the memory on this machine start out very
low when it has been rebooted (naturally). Then over the span of about
24 hours, we're using 2.04 GB's of mem, with only about 16 MB's left,
the real kicker is WE DON'T EVER USE ANY SWAP FOR SOME REASON. If
someone has any insight on this I'd appreciate it. Also, if anyone has
other ideas as to why server lockups would occur let me know.

Thanks your time is greatly appreciated,
