I'm using ddclient v3.6.3 running as a service and it works great. Check the dyndns home page for a large list of apps that will perform such a task for linux, there are a few there.

I'm trying to have a script run only when my DHCP address (for my cable modem) changes, in order to update my Dynamic DNS provider. There is some reference to a file called "dhcpcd-eth0.exe" doing that, but I don't know if it works with RedHat. I'm using RedHat 9, with the default dhcp client installed. Anyone know how to make a script execute whenever the IP address changes? I can easily update DNS from within the script. Thanks much!
