Hi all, This may not be the best place to ask, but I am just wondering if anyone here (fellow RH users) has been able to successfully compile the later MPlayer-0.90 on Redhat 7.3 system. I've got a lot of trouble trying to get it compile.
First, the gcc-2.96 that shipped with RH 7.3 is not recommended. So I update to gcc-3.1 from rhn. But I still get the same compile error. Secondly, I am trying to use divx4linux to view divx movies. The configure can't detect it (I think it gives compile error in the configure script also when trying to get the library). I tried with RPM package and rebuild it to have divx4linux support. Again, another compile error. So I am just wondering if anyone has done this on the same machine (RH-7.3).
