installing php 4.3.1 on Redhat 8

Hello, I am up to install PHP 4.3.1 on my Redhat 8, but, when running  ./configure with the options, I get the following message:   Configure: error: PNG Support requires ZLIB. Use –with-zlib-dir= <DIR>   Now how do I determine the directory zlib is installed into? I installed it via apt-get, which should normally no problem, and I am sure that zlib IS installed…What directory do I have to set instead of the <dir> ?   Thanks in advance, Alexander Wied
