I have an external modem connected to a linux machine. If I try to query the modem through kppp I get the message that modem is not responding. How do I start looking for the problem.
Try to connect with minicom. Try your different serial ports /dev/ttyS0 /dev/ttyS1 or /dev/cua0 /dev/cua1
