Hi, Guys,

I spent the whole of last night upgrading my RH4.2 to RH5.1, and is now
left with some problems that I can't solve:

1. backspace in nxterm works no more. A single hit of backspace cancel
the whole line and puts the cursor at the next line! Very irritating!

2. if I use run-level 3 and use 'startx' after logging in, X comes up
very nicely. But if I use run-level 5 and use xdm, I get logged out
immediately. It seems that the window manager can't start at all. I was
using fvwm in my .Xclients, but even if I removed the .Xclients file,
the default window manager doesn't come up as well.

Could I trouble fellow experts like yourself to drop me some hints on
how to get over the above glitches? Please cc a copy of your reply to
me. Thanks!
