True...I'll blame Micros~1 for that. Outlook doesn't make that easy. > Add: > - No HTML > - Short signature block (keep the quotes and such crap out) Agreed. And yes, my signature violates that very rule. Guilty as charged, but not repentant. > > You physically can't use true italics, underline, or bold in a plain > text e-mail. I think that it has some important use in plain text regardless. Titles of books, newspapers, etc. when referenced. I'm just soliciting for some conventions seen, not to "improve" plain text messaging. > > Ok, the normal ones. What about foreign language characters? Umlats, > > accents and tildes. Just looking for what others may have seen in their experiences. And I don't think I'm going to repent for my signature...I've seen much worse... just look at this one, found on this very list (greeked to protect the guilty): > -- > Tue Mar 25 10:35:01 EST 2003 > 10:35:01 up 3 days, 21:22, 4 users, load average: 0.42, 0.53, 0.51 > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > | __ __ | xxxx xxxxx xxxxxxxxx | > | / ,, /| |'-. | http://xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx | > | .\__/ || | | |=================================| > | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' | xxxxxx xxxx | > | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | > | |/ ._/ |"""""""""| | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | > | |'. `\ | | | icq: xxxxxxx | > | ;"""/ / | | | | > | xxx ) /_/| |.-------.| | mobile: xxxx-xxx-xxx | > | ' `-`' " " | xxxxxxxx, xxx xxx xxx, xx | > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > linux user:xxxxxx * xxx xxx * PC/Mac/Linux/Networking/Consulting > machine no:xxxxxx * xx xxx * Sales - Service - Support - Tutor > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > ** This messages was composed on a 100% Microsoft free computer ** > > My sister opened a computer store in Hawaii.
