Subject: Setting host or hostname

trying to convince my RH8 box to talk to my dsl modem. Keep seeing
hostname set as "localhost" on boot up, which is not good, as my ISP is
looking for a specific registered hostname (used with my old win2K
machine) which works just fine on that machine. How do I set the host or
hostname and have it stick on RH8? I orig had this connection up and
running after install however since changing out the NIC and
deleting/recreating the eth0 entry in the networking config tool I have
had no luck reestablishing connection to the dhcp server. This
"localhost" must first be changed as far as I can see. Appreciate any
assistance.

Cheers!
