Sorry if this question is a repeat - I usually
read this list through the mailing list archives
at www.redhat.com,
and they were broken for a while (April 2 -12 archives
are apparently lost)

Like many others, I found bru was broken after
daylight savings time started. I need to keep
my system clock at local time, not GMT, as it is
a dual boot system with win95, which doesnt do
GMT/UCT AFAIK. (Win95 seems to take the initiative
to reset the system clock by advancing it one hour
the first time it is booted after the time change).

I used timeconfig to change the timezone
from US-Eastern to
"/ETC/GMT+4" (!, not GMT-4!), leaving the
"system clock uses GMT ( )" unchecked.
this seems to work, as date gives the correct
local time (as given by the system clock), calling
it "GMT+4" and
date -u gives the correct GMT/UCT
are there any better fixes around, is this a glibc2
problem, or will it need an updated bru binary from
redhat to fix it properly without messing with the
system time?
