Ah, but John's problem is that he has lost the password *and* the e-mail address to which the password would be re-sent is no longer valid. And since the way Red Hat would fix the password issue is to send his password to the e-mail address he has on file with them, it does him no good.
John, all I can personally suggest is to poke around in the Help Desk and see if you can find a helpful e-mail address or phone number that you can contact for this issue.
