You should install the IMAPd RPM. Then edit your /etc/inetd.conf so the
pop-3 service calls ipop3d. I think that is the default setting. Then edit
/etc/sendmail.cf to allow relaying from your group of IP addresses. There
are man pages and /usr/doc files that explain in detail.
After making those changes, do 'init q' and 'kill -SIGHUP <sendmailpid>' to
have the relevant config files re-read. The sendail PID is in
/var/run/sendmail.pid.
