Since moving to RH5, I have had two problems with Apache:

   1) Apache doesn't seem to be paying attention to the mime.types file.
I added .htm to the same line as .html (as I did with RH4.1) but that had
no effect. I was able to fix the problem by adding an "AddType text/html
.htm" to the srm.conf. That works but why doesn't the change to
mime.types?

   2) This one is even stranger. I have several web sites which are
hosted from user areas (i.e., www.mydomain.com/~theuser). All the user
codes that were in existance before I upgraded to RH5 work fine. Today I
created a couple of new user accounts and tried to set up web pages under
them. All I can get is the "Forbidden" error. I can't see any difference
between the accounts I had before the upgrade and the new accounts (same
permissions, etc.) Any ideas as to what the problem is?

I saw both these topics mentioned in the list archives but I didn't see
an answer. Any help would be appreciated.
