if you look in /etc/sysconfig/harddisks, this is the configuration file
for hdparm on redhat. You are pretty safe to uncomment everything in the
file (except for comments =D), but leave the extra options alone. After
changing that you can reboot the box and hdparm will apply those
settings each time after reboot.
