Download an appropriate kernel package, like: kernel-2.4.18-24.8.0.i686.rpm You don't need any of the other kernel packages. Install the kernel with rpm -ivh kernel-2.4.18-24.8.0.i686.rpm If you want the kernel-source as well, grab it from the i386 directory, and install with rpm -Uvh kernel-source*.rpm Kernel headers don't get updated with the kernel, it contains the headers that glibc was built with. (and has been renamed to glibc-kernheaders) Install the packages, make sure the new kernel is added to lilo or grub, and reboot selecting the new kernel. - -- - -Michael pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt Red Hat Linux 7.{2,3}|8.0 in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+Ytmun/07WoAb/SsRAoe/AJ9QRuJU3lKk5i2CikhZ81eer+tw/gCfbZ1b 7g+MeMdg9afXL6nVJAGEb78= =HXHB -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
