I have a serious need to install the new XFree86 4.3. It is the first version of XFree86 that natively supports my video chipset (SiS740).
so for instalation I have some simple questions, that I hope someone has an answere to: 1) Can 4.3 be installed alongside 4.2 (so as not to WIPE OUT what already, kinda works)? If so how? (ie where can I find out how) 2) Is there a binary install? (ala rpm) 3) Has anyone yet had experience with the XFree86 4.3 SiS740 drivers?
