And if problem still persists check the hardware itself. Is processor maybe overheated (could also be caused by broken fans), are harddisks running fine or do they make clicks / noises?
One thing that was proposed to me: Attach a serial-console to log the errors - since it might be that they don't appear in the /var/log/messages because the buffer isn't flushed correctly before rebooting. Is server immediately rebooting? Or completely shutting down etc.?
