Eh? Which list of mine are you talking about? The list of bios numbers
that lead to a defunct nowhere? Or the list of people in australia buying
second-rate, remarked computer equipment? Or perhaps the list expressing
the upturn in the amount of computer componentry being returned under
warranty? Or the list (not in my possession) of the number of these issues
being investigated by consumer affairs and so on?
Which list?? (I'm confused) As far as I know, it's best I blurt 'this is
australia mate', ...worse actually, this is Queensland... there's a lot
more activity in the southern states in regards computer sales &
marketting, indeed, their stores are up this way too. No prizes for
guessing what they do sell, and as far as I know, no one is out there
actively soliciting sales of any such linux 'bundle' you describe (what
cpu/m'board/ram?), though I'm sure you'd find someone to accomodate you if
you looked hard enough. Finding a commercial venture to come up with a
linux *installation* however, would be something I might try on the next
time I'm in Brisbane. I feel quite sure, the results would shock you ;^)
Example; came time to make my ppp link, rang my isp, asked auth method?
Got a firm standard CHAP only...password to terminal server? No idea :)
Had to tell him in the end..
Cheers
