I lost all the icons from the center to the far right hand side of my menu bar in RedHat 8.0
I needed to change the location of my box and put it on a different ip segment in a different office. During the initial login (as root because I was going to edit the IP of the card) it stated that it could not resolve the box name and asked if I wanted to log in anyway. I did so and the RedHat Network update icon and the time display disappeared from the menu bar. I fixed the ip information and rebooted but the icons were still gone from root. I can login using a different name and they are fine. I have been good about keeping the machine up to date and it is currently on the latest Kernal .... As of 02/05/03 Would like to get this display back if I can.
