benchmarking is a difficult topic, it has many edges like memory
size, compiler options, under unix you can renice the process,
so it is really difficult to make serious comparisons, what i
have done in the past is to use as benchmark the same program i
want to run, i compile it with diferent optimizations, data sets,
and after all this test, i decide on the plataform to use.
