Just as a side note, you can find definitions from the command line. ;) Just install the 'dictd' package. $ which dict | xargs rpm -qf dictd-1.5.5-3 It allows you to query several databases for definitions, very useful: $ dict expunge 2 definitions found - From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) [web1913]: Expunge \Ex*punge"\, v. t.
