You're right, I know better. Had a brain fart. Wasn't thinking, just in a hurry.
I think its OK but I'm scared to try and mount the SMB filesystem. I'll give it a day or two to heal itself a little. :-) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Edward Dekkers Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2003 8:31 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: H E L P !!!!!! > I'm not sure what just happened. I let this go on for about 10 minutes and said enough is > enough. I pulled the plug so to speak. You serious? You know better than that! Thrashing hard disk means something is going on. You DO NOT pull a plug at that stage. I've had hard disks thrash for 10 minutes before. No biggie. Depends on what it's doing at the time. > Any ideas on when this will time-out? Or will it? Try booting single and running chkconfig to turn SMB off on runlevel 3 or 5 (whatever you're using) Good Luck. --- Edward Dekkers (Director) Triple D Computer Services P/L -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
