Actually I have gotten exactly what I needed with msyslog. Thanks for

syslog-ng isn't included with RedHat...at least not yet.  I'm actually
working my way through converting to it at this very moment.  It seemed
to have some functionality that was lacking in the RedHat provided
syslog.

with syslog-ng it is possible, it has a vast array of filter options
available. Not sure if syslog-ng is included with redhat or not.
