Why use anything other than iptables? It's easy to setup and does a great
job. Read: man iptables

Subject: Dropping specific IP packets

Hi everyone,

I was curious to know if there was any way in which I would be able to
drop specific IP packets at a machine. I know by making use of firewalls I
may be able to do that. I was wondering if there is any other way of
dropping packets other than firewalls.

Thanks,
Rahul.
