... But the problem is ... that Redhat 7.1 has 2.4.x kernel ... and that
solution doesn't work for this !

... Maybe there's another way !! ... Any ideas ????  ... What about
upgrading to RH 8 ???

If you want to try it (I never got it to work), be aware that this is very
unsafe and very hard to set up.

Basically, theres a project on sourceforge called UPnP or something like
that which, together with Intel's SDK, a few compilation tweaks and firewall
changes allows messenger (which now uses the uPnP crap for video and audio -
it's not H.323 as far as I know) to punch a special hole through the
firewall and allows this to work.

I followed the intructions, got about 8 or 9 instances of the upnpd running,
and still got nada. Gave up, wasn't THAT important.

If you get it going though, I'm all ears. A search on sourceforge should
give you the links required.
