Not sure what the original poster means, but some users fool up2date into performing a dist-upgrade like apt. They upgrade the redhat-release package manually which causes up2date to switch to a different channel at Red Hat Network. Up2date then upgrade/installs packages from the new channel. While this may work, it is an upgrade path that is unsupported by Red Hat. Probably it can also crash up2date at run-time. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+FusB0iMVcrivHFQRAnU4AJ43VZ14s/YHi8OivDnaAkyLRRW2GACfbDgQ era3wMaMa0GytU7/ofG7pNs= =cxBZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
