Interesting.  I hope this isn't the case as apt is an excellent tool
(especially given the number of rpm-apt repositories sprouting up -
downloaded a DVD-rip^H^H^Harchiving tool the other day with a single
command - it would have normally required finding and installing around
7 or 8 rpms - provided I could have found the correct versions).
