Most of the modified files are in /bin, the exception being
/sbin/rmt. You can ignore the Python compiled files.

Why you see this is a mystery. You might want to make sure your
system hasn't been compromised. Not that someone with root access
fools you (instead of doing more damage). Also check your xinetd
services.

I would suggest you replace the bad /bin and /sbin packages by
forcing a reinstall like this:

  rpm --install --verbose --hash --force packagefile.rpm
  (short: rpm -ivh --force packagefile.rpm)
