Remove Gated if it's installed!

Sendmail works great, then you don't have your isp actually forwarding the 
mail.

Use fetchmail and sendmail with exmh or pine as your MUA.

Then you would fall into a trap like I did a couple of month ago.  Every time 
I had a problem I stayed up all night reinstalling; when actually all I had to 
do was type in a simple command.
