I am using RH 5.0 and Usernet under X windows to connect up a ppp
connection to my ISP.
I've almost got my ppp configuration complete with two minor problem.
When I select Usernet from the Networking menu, the dialog box comes up.
When I select ppp0 the connection dials up and connects to my ISP no
problem, but the colored button stays Yellow, never turns Green.
Shouldn't it turn green?
The second problem is when I try to disconnect. When I select the ppp0
button again to disconnect the dialog box freezes and the connection is
not terminated.
I can disconnect successfully if I use "ifdown ppp0".
I would appreciate any suggestions or explanations on why the connection
doesn't terminate when using the Usernet dialog box and why the button
never turns green when a connection is made.
