Greetings Red Hat Linux users!

I am a relatively new Linux user (and brand new to Red Hat as of a month ago).

I am running Red Hat Linux 5.0 & Windoze '95 dual boot on an Intel P5-166.
I recently upgraded my PC from 32 to 96 MB of RAM. When I boot the PC, all
96MB or RAM are recognized. Windoze '95 recognizes all 96 MB, however,
(unless I am mistaken) when I issue a "free" command, Linux reports total
memory of only 64 MB.

My motherboard uses the Intel i430FX chipset & Award PNP bios v 4.51. The
board has 4 - 72 pin SIMM slots for EDO Memory. I have installed two 32MB
simms in slots 1&2 and moved my old memory (2x16MB SIMMS) down to slots 3 &
4. All slots on this motherboard are supposed to be Autodetect.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a configuration change needed?

Any help/advice would be most appreciated.

Regards,

Jim Jennis
