Many thanks DL for your reply. After sending the posting yesterday I
decided to check ths 'readme's' on the Ontrack disc. To my horror they
specifically state that Ontrack DM will only work for an MSDOS O/S and
no other!! This coupled to the fact that Nagy who wrote MasterBooter
also informed me it would not work with Ontrack DM kind of left me up in
the air until I got your reply. Anyway can you tell me what version of
Ontrack's MB you are using? My version is 6.03D. Also I ran their
syscheck and found both my drives are using LBA. Do you recall if you
checked 'use linear mode' during setup?
