I just installed Red Hat 5.1. Is the Real Audio application supposed to work
out of the box? I ask this because mine doesn't. I read the included
documentation and the files are not in a subdirectory of /root as the
documentation states. Additional configuration instructions are erroneous.
>From /usr/doc/rvplayer-5.0/doc/setup.htm
...add the following command to your .profile file:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/rvplayer5.0
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
>From /usr/doc/rvplayer-5.0/doc/path.htm
...add the following command to your .profile file after all other "PATH"
commands:
PATH=$PATH":$HOME/rvplayer5.0
After you edit the .profile file, run this command:
source .profile
There is no rvplayer5.0 subdirectory for $HOME.
